Barry Day grew up in San Diego and was raised in the church of Christ (formerly Clairemont, now Canyon View). In 1983 he married Karen Davis, and together they served as volunteer leaders of the youth program for the next nine years.
In 1994, Barry graduated from Sunset International Bible Institute, and in 1997 he received his B.A. in Bible and Ministry from Southern Christian University. He continued with graduate studies in Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Leadership Development. Barry returned to Sunset International Bible Institute as a faculty member and Student Coordinator for the Adventures in Missions Program. Barry has preached for churches in Texas, Arizona, and New Hampshire, and served Canyon View as their Involvement Minister from 2002- 2005.
Barry strives to be a true “Preaching-Minister” who preaches God’s Word with love and sincerity; while serving people through personal interaction, hospitality, personal studies and visitation. He encourages the church to enjoy their life in God’s family through fellowship, meeting together in each other’s homes, and working together in ministry. The Days have two married children and two grandchildren.
