Dear Canyon View,
After two and a half months, we are finally able to open our building to a worship service in the auditorium on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM, starting June 7th. It has been a long wait. We are thankful for your prayers, patience, and understanding during this time. Please continue being patient as we will be proceeding slowly, cautiously, and prayerfully.
As before, we are always concerned about everyone’s health and safety, and we are aware that not everyone is ready for worship in our auditorium. Therefore, we will continue the 8:00 AM Drive-In and Courtyard Service. The 10:00 AM Online Service will continue as well.
For the 10:00 AM Auditorium Service, a nursery and toddler room will be available for you to supervise your own children. In the nursery it is 0-1 year old and in the toddler room 1-2 years old. Please be sure to write your name and contact number on the whiteboard as you enter so that we will have a record of who has used the room. There will be “busy bags” available if you wish to keep your children with you. At a later date, we expect to add a 20-minute children’s worship for children 3 years old to the third grade during the 10:00 AM auditorium sermon. The youth ministry will not be meeting in person this Sunday, June 7th. Austin, our youth minister, is working out a plan that will be communicated to parents in future announcements that will outline how we will continue to serve the youth in our congregation as we phase into reopening the building for use.
In keeping with the State of California guidelines, there is an imposed limit of 100 people in the building at a time. The pre-screening medical protocol is in effect. These assemblies will each have their own method of fellowship and interaction. We pray that everyone will make the best-informed decision about which service is right for them at this time. The most important thing is that you worship! Our assemblies will continue to be less than an hour and will be God glorifying, encouraging, and simple.
