After an unexpected “time-out” due to COVID restrictions, we are again asking for contributions of swimsuits, towels, and flip-flops. These donations are for the children learning to swim at the Jackie Robinson YMCA.
In October ‘21, we attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the newly-funded swim complex. Historically, this area of San Diego has been underserved with regard to aquatic activities and opportunities. This is a community resource long overdue. Often swimmers had to be transported to pools in other areas of San Diego for lessons.

Canyon View has been so generous in past years by providing needed support for children and teens learning to swim.
Beginning on May 29, please drop off any of the three items: suits, flip-flops any/or towels in bins in the foyer.
All sizes of swimsuits are needed: for ages 4-16, male and female.
On June 24, we plan to attend the ribbon-cutting/grand opening ceremony of this much anticipated aquatic center. We hope to deliver a full car-load of items for the Learn-to-Swim program 2022.
If you would like to participate by giving but would prefer we shop for you, we enjoy that opportunity and will be good stewards of you donations.
Thank you, in advance, for your interest in this outreach effort.
