As summer approaches, many school-age children will be learning water safety/swimming skills in programs offered by the Jackie Robinson YMCA. Historically, Canyon View members have generously provided necessary items for children in need who are signed up for these programs. Swimsuits, rash guards, goggles, towels and flip-flops will be collected beginning on April 28 through May 29. Each springtime these items seem to be on sale in stores earlier than the year before.
A plastic bin will be in the foyer for your donations. Costco, Target and Walmart offer these items at fairly reasonable prices. Youth suits in sizes Toddler 4 through Teen 14 would be appreciated. If you would rather donate by check/cash, we will gladly shop for you.
